When I'm in NC next week for Thanksgiving, I'm going to eat:
-a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich and fries
-a Loop milkshake
-a Carrburritos sweet potato burrito
-a Sunrise Biscuit Company biscuit
-a slice of my dad's pumpkin pie
-banana pudding from Crook's
-green beans from the garden (frozen since summer)
-more pie, which I will make
-turkey, of course
-a slice of chocolate cake at Tyler's (for purely sentimental reasons)

Might I make a few suggestions. First, Chick-fil-A has changed the strips recipe and added a new sauce, and it's called "Chick-fil-A sauce." I highly recommend trying that.
I'd also add you should go to the new Char-Grill at 751 and 54 and have a hamburger steak sandwich. Char-Grill has been around since the 1950's in Raleigh, but we now have one much closer to us. You should probably get a junior unless you're REALLY hungry as the main sandwich is really big. Don't expect much from the fries...they're okay, but the burger is the best around, IMHO.
Loop shakes are good.
Going to NC is always a tour of food for me too! Ask Lis. The first time she came to NC I had a list of places we needed eat - Lexington BBQ, Ronnie's wings...
So basically, you're having a traditional Thanksgiving menu (I'm pretty sure the cornucopia at the first Thanksgiving was filled with Chic-Fil-A and milkshakes).
My philosophy is, you can eat anything you want for Thanksgiving, as long as you put gravy on it.
Have fun in NC.
Oh yeah--I forgot the chocolates at Chocolaterie Stam! I'm going there too.
